inkaarten, from the dutch, "to map" is a new pairing from husband and wife, Bob and Sherry Truitt.

It's the perfect combination of vintage maps from Sherry's anything but conventional jewelry , Bob's metal work and carpentry skills as well as some thoughtfully curated home + garden objects we know you'll love.

Bob and Sherry live and work in a small town across the river from Philadelphia. They share their home with one son and one crazy Jack Russell Terrier,  Henry.

In an effort to leave a lighter footprint on the earth, recycled steel and copper are used whenever possible, as well as ecopoxycraftresin© , a 100% solid-based, thermosetting resin made from soybeans, beans and peanuts.

We chose vintage maps ( from our ever widening collection of rescued atlases)for our home wares to capture memories of adventures and explorations of a life time. Our work celebrates brides and grooms as well as couples that have adopted from a faraway place and couples who are celebrating milestone anniversaries. We also use vintage ephemera to enhance both the beauty and oddities among us.
